SPAR2U TERMS & CONDITIONS (SPAR)

These online shopping terms and conditions apply to all purchases ordered online through the SPAR2U platform. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. SPAR reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

All orders placed are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. SPAR reserves the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order.

To place an order you must register on the SPAR2U platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

SPAR reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in its sole discretion.

You must be 18 years or older to register and use the SPAR2U service. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

When registering for SPAR2U, you may also create or link a SPAR Rewards profile. Your SPAR Rewards points will be credited according to the SPAR Rewards terms and conditions applicable at the time of purchase.

SPAR Rewards points earned on SPAR2U purchases are subject to the standard SPAR Rewards programme rules and may not be available for redemption until confirmed by the SPAR Rewards system.

All products displayed on SPAR2U are subject to availability. SPAR will endeavour to ensure that all products listed are available, but cannot guarantee availability of all products at all times.

Prices displayed on SPAR2U are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price applicable to your order will be the price displayed at the time you place your order.

SPAR reserves the right to limit the quantities of any product that you purchase. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address.

Product images on the SPAR2U platform are for illustrative purposes only. The actual product you receive may differ slightly from the image shown.

SPAR2U accepts payment by credit card, debit card, and other payment methods as indicated on the platform at the time of checkout. All online payments are processed securely through our payment gateway. Your card details are not stored by SPAR.

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. Your order will only be confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

Where available, you may select payment on delivery. Payment on delivery is subject to the availability of this option in your delivery area. Accepted payment methods for delivery may include card payment via a card machine presented at the time of delivery.

CASH ON DELIVERY IS NOT PERMITTED.

SPAR reserves the right to withdraw or modify the payment on delivery option at any time without prior notice.

All orders are subject to stock availability. In the event that a product is out of stock after your order has been placed, SPAR will contact you to arrange a substitute product or a refund for that item. SPAR cannot guarantee that all items in your order will be available and reserves the right to substitute products of equal or greater value where necessary.

Upon placing your order you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order. This email is confirmation that SPAR has received your order, not that it has been accepted. SPAR reserves the right to accept or reject your order for any reason, including if the requested product is not available, if there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the website, or for any other reason.

A delivery fee of R35 applies to all orders. This fee is displayed at checkout prior to payment. Delivery fees are subject to change without notice.

You must provide an accurate and complete delivery address. SPAR will not be liable for any failed delivery or loss of goods resulting from an inaccurate or incomplete delivery address provided by you.

SPAR will make every effort to deliver your order within the estimated delivery time. However, delivery times are estimates only and SPAR cannot guarantee delivery by a specific time.

SPAR2U delivery is available in select service areas only. Delivery outside the designated service area may not be available. The availability of delivery in your area will be indicated on the platform at the time of checkout.

SPAR reserves the right to terminate a delivery in the following circumstances:

• The recipient is not present at the delivery address at the agreed delivery time
• The delivery address is inaccessible or unsafe
• The recipient refuses to accept the delivery
• The recipient is unable to provide proof of age for age-restricted products
• Any other circumstances that make delivery impractical or unsafe

You must be 18 years or older to accept delivery of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. The delivery driver reserves the right to request proof of age and to refuse delivery of age-restricted products if proof of age cannot be provided.

Deliveries will only be made to the address specified in your order. Deliveries to a different address or to a third party are not permitted without prior arrangement.

Delivery slots are subject to availability and may change. SPAR will endeavour to deliver within your selected time slot but cannot guarantee exact delivery times.

You can track the status of your order through the SPAR2U platform. Order tracking information is provided as a guide only and may not reflect real-time delivery status.

Where a contactless delivery option is available, your order will be left at your door without requiring a signature. SPAR will not be liable for any loss or damage to goods left unattended at your delivery address.

A minimum order value of R100 applies to all SPAR2U orders. A maximum of 60 items per order applies.

In accordance with applicable legislation, tobacco products may only be sold to persons 18 years of age or older. By purchasing tobacco products through SPAR2U, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. SPAR reserves the right to request proof of age and to cancel any order for tobacco products if proof of age cannot be provided or verified.

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please contact SPAR2U customer service within 24 hours of delivery. SPAR will arrange for a replacement or refund at its discretion.

Perishable items, including fresh produce, dairy, meat and bakery products, are not eligible for return unless damaged or defective on delivery. All other products may be returned in their original, unopened packaging within 7 days of delivery, subject to SPAR’s discretion.

You may cancel your entire order prior to it being processed for fulfilment. Once an order has been accepted and is being picked, packed or dispatched, cancellation may not be possible.

To cancel an order, please contact SPAR2U customer service as soon as possible after placing your order. If your cancellation is accepted, a full refund will be processed to your original payment method.

If a specific item in your order is unavailable, SPAR will notify you and remove that item from your order. A refund for the cancelled item will be processed to your original payment method.

SPAR reserves the right to cancel any order or part thereof at any time if the order cannot be fulfilled for any reason, including stock unavailability, pricing errors, or delivery constraints.

Risk in and ownership of the products pass to you upon delivery to your specified delivery address. SPAR will not be liable for any loss, damage or theft of products after delivery has been completed.
